Ingredients and amounts
- 100ml bourbon whiskey
- 500ml Coca-Cola
- 300g ice
- 1 lemon
Step-by-step method
Step 1
Prepare the lemon: Cut the lemon in half (cut perpendicular to the line between the stem and blossom ends). Slice one piece from one half and set aside.
Step 2
Cut the remaining lemon halves again to get 4 wedges. Use a juicer to extract the juice from these wedges and set the juice aside.
Step 3
Place the squeezed lemon wedges in a container and set aside.
Step 4
Assemble the drink: Choose a large glass or metal cup with a capacity of about 1 liter.
Step 5
Add the ice and the squeezed lemon wedges to the cup (arrange as desired).
Step 6
Pour in 15ml of the lemon juice (add more if you prefer a tarter taste).
Step 7
Slowly pour Coca-Cola along the inside of the cup until it reaches about 3/4 full (aim for a cola-to-whiskey ratio of about 5:1).
Step 8
Top off the cup with whiskey.
